The Dream to cycle across Australia on road bikes in 60 days carrying our own supplies & equipment. The plan was to cover 4 of Australia's 6 Territories starting in Perth and following the coastline. Once in Esperance, we'd head north to Norseman and start the quintessential experience of the 'Australian Outback' - Crossing the Nullarbor Plain. The Nullarbor stretches from Norseman to Ceduna, occupying over 77,200 square miles of treeless desert, holding the world's largest single piece of limestone, having temperatures range from 30F to 130F, and rainfall averaging 200 mm per year. If we survived, we'd head into Port Augusta resupply and follow the coastline to Adelaide, on to Melbourne, and weave our way up the coast to Sydney.
