More about Billy:
Comes off as quiet and shy. He'll talk, but it needs to be something that he wants to talk about. Billy spent two years of his life living in Atlanta, Georgia. The rest growing up in a small town located between Marietta and Atlanta- Smyrna (no longer small). He attended private school. He then went on to receive several credentials from college- in business management, finance, philosophy and computer science while attending political science, biology, astronomy and criminal justice classes. 
 
When Billy is not on one of his adventures, he works with his family's business. He also volunteers as a soccer coach and occasionally works with an after school program. 
 
Billy is a lifelong single and always looking for the perfect woman. He is passionate about politics, hiking, research and developing adventure equipment (in my mind, and sometimes into something), and women. His ultimate adventure is to one day sail around the world (I think I need a rich woman for this one). He entertains himself by designing websites and watching MacGyver.

And never take Billy serious, He's just making a point...and not meaning to hurt your feelings.

More About Ben:
A native of Malvern, UK, Ben developed a serious interest in hiking in 2002 with a 500 mile hike of the Mid-Atlantic Appalachian Trail. He returned in 2003 to thru-hike. Ben holds one and a half degrees in Physics and for several years worked in various capacities within the science industry.

Ben currently lives in Perth, Australia where he writes code and performs statistical analysis for the education department. In his spare time he mostly reads comics and drinks cheap boxed wine. Almost unbelievably he is single (offers on a post card please).

He is aided in his hiking aspirations by a natural indifference towards his personal hygiene, comfort and where his food has been.

More About Ben and Billy:

Billy and Ben met in North Carolina, towards the beginning of their 2003 Appalachian Trail thru-hikes. Brought together by mutual misanthropy, they formed an unusual and peculiarly effective hiking partnership that endured the length of the trail. The team took on adverse weather, injury, sloth and a lot of toilet trouble to triumphantly summit Katahdin several months later.

Returning to action in 2006, the guys flew into Southern California to begin their attempt at the Pacific Crest Trail. This time they fought heat, snow, altitude and each other as they wound their way up through the Western states to the Canadian border.

For the time being, Ben and Billy are pursuing their own projects, but recently there have been some faint rumblings about a CDT 2009 trip....

More About Ashley:
Ashley is a newbie to hiking. She helps write reviews for products, along with assisting Billy with his projects for PureBound. She is a family friend of Billy's and started realizing he existed in the Summer of '05, where Billy hooked her up with a job at American Family Day, Inc.. Ashley learned how to deal with Billy, and his way of life; and became inspired by his adventures. She has been trying to gather money and all her equipment ever since. In 2008 she completed her first Triathlon.
